was watching the new series, LIFE, on the discovery channel (unfortunately, narrated by oprah winfrey) and these western grebes have to be some of the coolest birds around. check out the episode that they’re on. when two grebes are together, they are usually monogamous for a season and do a little mirror/mimic dance to show the other grebes that they’re taken. amazing.
